the nose of ads

It’s the age of advertisement. The ad companies have acute senses to activate the public to like the products the sports players recommend. If a woman has been acknowledged as the best tennis-player in the world, she can acquire a lot of money from advertisements. Of course, she must pay some additional charges as taxes to the Tax Administration. Usually, the woman will adjust herself to the change of her life and soon she will adapt herself to it. As a sports player, her earnings isn’t always adequate to meet her needs. In addition to a beautiful house, she also wants to buy luxury cars. It’s normal that a famous sports player’s cars add up to five. In addition, some rich sports players liked to buy acres of land as their properties, thus they can have their outdoor activities conveniently. Sometimes some acquaintances of the sports players are popular too because their house are adjacent to the players. Their houses adjoin the players’, which make them proud and happy. An adjective for this phenomenon is, “snobbish”.

And I have wings

“ and I have wings, and I can fly,” the Angel said.
“yes,” the Lord God replied, his lips drawn slightly, mischievously into a grin.
“So what then of man?”
The Lord God raised an eyebrow, unfolding his hands over Creation.
“A little below angels?”
“For a time,” the Lord God answered.
The Angel gazed across the expanse he perceived as his domain, considering not Creation, for still he felt no threat from below. “And what shall he so when that time arrives? For I have wings, and I can fly. And he has none.”
The Lord God nodded, saying “even tose without wings may one day fly.”
The Angel lifted a stone aloft and let it slip from his grasp. Slowly it spun toward his feet. And thus he scowled. Such an image he had planned, and at the moment of fruition only a single nugget lay nearby, and yet he had wondered not. For stone, he knew, a stone of any size or shape or substance should have served his purpose none better than any other. But rather than plummeting into oblivion, gradually this bit of earthen work descended. Having neither a dearth of choice or course or option, he made due, though his desire was otherwise.
“But he will fall,” the Angel continued.
“Yes.”
“Ah.” Upon angelic lips bent a half-smile victory. “Such things are inevitable, and wholly without grace.”
The Lord God inhaled. A tear formed ever so lightly, bubbling like a brook broken free, it began its meandering course downward. “Inevitable, yes,” he responded. But keeping the remainder of breath within the depths of his chest, the Lord God touched the dampness upon his cheek, lifted it upon a fingertip and kissed it into the sky. It drifted downward like so many falling stars. And all those who stood upongreen earth and gazed upward saw the broken trail as it spread and scattered and rained upon them. And they too dropped upon their knees, heads folded into up-spread palms.
Of stones the Angel spoke naught, never yet daring to break the silence which spreadthrough Creation.
And so the ache grew within the Lord God like the silent outcry of millions. And the Lord God let the lids of his eyes fall, and the remainder of breath, he expelled upon Creation. This too rained downward, though invisible in its passing, and poured upon all who no longer gazed upward.
The sweet breath filled them, and the Spirit quickened and rekindledin their hearts. As one to another, palms slid across brow, and freed, lifted still upturned, toward heaven. As one to another, they rose and stood again upon green earth. And as one, they expelled the breath that filed them, and it too rose as a thundrous cry.
The Angel trembled and covered his ears, lest he had been torn asunder from the Spirit of such pain, of such joy.
As the silence returned, the Lord God looked upon the Angel and his lips drew together and he said, “Yes. Even those without wings may one day fly.”

A blessing in disguise.

A cruel man abandoned his wife and son. Above all, everyone must abide by the law. So he was arrested. But the trial came to an abrupt end because of the man’s absence. It was said he was mentally abnormal and was set free according to one law! What an absurd judgment! That’s absolute nonsense! The angry people thought this bad law ought to be abolished to keep the judge from abusing his power. Fortunately, the boy’s mother was able to afford enough money for the boy to go abroad to study. The moment the son was about to go aboard the ship, they kissed good-bye with tears. The boy went to an Academy of Technology successfully. No one could doubt his ability to learn abstract knowledge. He was absorbed in knowledge so much, just like dry sand absorbed water. His teacher really appreciated his complete absorption in his studies. So he supplied the boy abundant books for study, which accelerated the boy working harder.

Music In Pocket

Maybe you are a music lover or like listenning songs on the way, but it isn’t convenient to take a CD box and many disks or a portable recorder with lots of tapes in your bag, because of its big body or vulnerability. If this is a part of your past, a MP3 player should be recommonded to you.
An MP3 player is so small it can fit inside your closed hand. Measuring a few inches in length and breadth and only a few millimeters in width, even the largest MP3 player is smaller than your cell phone. The sports mp3 players are made to withstand motion and speed, and so when a person is running or jogging, there will be no disturbance in the quality of music played. The headphones are compact and fit in snuggly into the ear and sometimes come with a ear piece that goes around the ear.
Thus the MP3 media players turn into the most popular mini digital products. They have spreaded all over the world and the demand for them has been increasing with each year. Mobile listening has been provided effectively by these portable music players and it is understandable.
The expenditure is throwaway and the cost is affordable. Remember, the best way to relax your mind is through music we hear of today. But once you add in the MP3 extension this is why we want to hear music in the most comfortable way possible. This includes listening to MP3 music, a lot of which is downloaded or copied from others how MP3 players have as well. Apparently, people just get tied up with these gifts of technology. They are not unwise investments since we are all aware of the various media players dating back to the Walkman which has been a need for people who want to listen to their preferred music.
Most people of any origin have one or two hits in their grasp. This stems from the fact that people are pretty much impressed at how this beautiful diva singer rose to the occasion, rendering ballads and soundtrack themes that are still loved to this day. A lot of this perhaps has to do with her voice and classical rendition of the hits that make people fall in love or reflect at one time or another. Her songs are simply delivered in a way to which anyone can easily depict messages coming from them.
Unfortunately, MP3 players are among these gadgets. All this makes them more suitable for sportspersons, and they can also monitor a person’s body temperature. As mentioned, these players are small in size and compact, hence they can be carried in the pocket or on the waist band and are water proof as wellThere are others as well, but it is best to associate a player with the file formats for less hassles. There may be alternative gadgets but the most reasonable would be that of these simple players available today.

How To Reduce Uv Rays

It is crucial to receive the right amount of light to have good vision, but too much exposure to the wrong type of light just might result in serious long-term problems. The Sun emits ultraviolet radiation in the UVA, UVB, and UVC bands, but because of absorption in the atmosphere’s ozone layer, 98.7% of the ultraviolet radiation that reaches the Earth’s surface is UVA.
When our eyes are exposed to excessive amounts of ultraviolet light (UV) wavelengths can cause eye conditions including corneal burns (photokeratitis), growths on the conjunctiva (pterygium) and cataracts. UV rays are invisible, and that only makes them more harmful. It is the very initiator of skin cancer.
In contrast to the definition of infrared radiation, ultraviolet radiation, more commonly referred to as “UV Rays,” is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum and is produced by the sun, tungsten lamps, welding arcs, and certain types of fluorescent lights.
Fortunately, UVC (190nm to 280nm) wavelengths are absorbed by the ozone layer so for now we don’t have to worry about them. However, these high-energy radiations can cause mutations in plants and animals. Too much UVB radiation leads to direct DNA damages and sunburn. An appropriate amount of UVB (which varies according to skin color) leads to a limited amount of direct DNA damage. The upper portion of this spectrum (from 300nm to 315nm) is where we start to see effects on the eye. UVA (315nm to 380nm) is the section of the spectrum that hurts the most because it is totally absorbed by the eye’s crystalline lens.
Our corneas transmit UV wavelengths from a range from 300nm to 400nm, so it becomes important to us and especially to our eyes to filter these wavelengths out. That is where lenses come into play. Lucky for us, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has mandated that lenses be made with materials that absorb or block at least 99.8% of UVB and 70% UVA.
Ultra-violet radiation may be harmful to the human eye, but with all the lens material options available today that absorb it, patients can easily get the protection they need simply by getting a good pair of glasses or sunglasses and remembering to wear them.

Michael Jackson’s Thrilling Career

When I first heard Michael Jackson, I was a middel school student, and I was amazed at his strange dance. But scandal comes one after another, from that I acknowledged that he was the very king of pop. Although all slander has faded, the giant also has passed away.
He was born into the Jackson family as the 7th child of Joseph Jackson. When Michael Jackson was very young, 11 years old, he and 4 of his siblings began a band with their father Joseph Jackson as the manager. The band was called “the Jackson 5″ and the group attained much commercial success. It was not until 1971 that Michael Jackson left the Jackson 5 and began his solo career. He went on to become one of the most famous recording artists of all time and eventually became the “king of pop” a title he bestowed upon himself. His solo albums hold many titles for their astounding number of sales. 5 of his albums hold records for number of sales.
The darkest time of his life flied away, although it might make a wound deeply in the heart. His career really began to take off in the early 1980’s. In the life of pop music, he is the father of all. His music has electrified fans world over. The hit songs like, I’ll be there, shake your body, ABC and others can’t just be bygone this time. They will always linker in the fans ears for long. And he was one of the first and most popular black artists to gain a prominent following on MTV. This was due in large part to the huge budget and extravagant budgets of his music videos for his songs. Songs with record holding videos include: Beat it - Billie Jean - and Thriller.
They entitled a brand new era of music video. Some of these videos are so influential that they are credited with changing music videos from a recording of the song into mini movie works of art. This led further to Michael Jackson’s popularization of amazing and complicated dance choreographing and musical numbers. This dancing featured prominently in his live shows. His record breaking live shows earned him enormous amounts of money.
Some of the dances movies popularized at these live shows include the robot and the moonwalk. Michael Jackson’s musical influence stretched across many musical genre’s including hip-hop, pop and R&B in part because of his eccentric and distinct style of vocals and music.
All we remembered is not only his thrilling songs, but also his willing donation. One thing that many do not know about Jackson is that he raised and donated MILLIONS of dollars to over 39 charities for a multitude of causes through his namesake foundation. This is often overlooked due to his appearance and increasingly bizarre and changing appearance. Not to mention a string of child molestation accusations…

To Reuse And Recycle Books And Magazines

We human beings have been teaching knowledge by pages of books or magazines since paper was invented thousands of year ago. More than any other material we hope to recycle, books and magazines represent knowledge. We find wisdom in the pages of old books, and learn about culture in the pages of old magazines. Because of these factors, the best thing to do with old books and magazines is passing them on.
If this is accepted by all of readers, there would be lots of paper, ink, water, even work of printing, that can be left over. Particularly in this era of desert enlarging, as more and more old-growth trees are cut down, and we face the reality of having to wait close to 100 years or more to replace them, the need to recycle paper becomes increasingly important.
Paper, of course, includes books and magazines. Although paper products are nearly 100% biodegradable, it is pointless to send these resources to the dump to rot in the landfill. You could find many ways for recycling paper.
The simpliest way is donating. Your local library or college library will accept donations of old books, and sometimes magazines in good shape. This allows other people to benefit from the publication as well. It can also beneficial for your spiritual life and more people would be educated. Once you have enjoyed your book, donate it to a library rather than letting it sit on a shelf to collect dust.
The second choice, for both books and magazines, is to sell them to a used bookstore, at a garage sale, flea market, or on eBay. Other people may be looking for the exact book or magazine you have; passing it on is a win-win scenario for you and the new owner. You can take a bit income simutaneously to compliment the shortage of revenue.
If you wish to reuse publications in a creative way, magazines make good colorful craft supplies for children and adults. You can cut out parts of pictures to make collages by pasting the picture pieces to a cardboard backing; or make hanging mobiles by cutting out shapes, stringing pieces of thread through holes at the top, and attaching the strings to a clothes hanger. This is a effective way for your cartoon and art books.
As for traditional recycling, some areas will let you place books or magazines in your blue bin for pickup as well. Many publishers print magazines on glossy paper. It is more expensive to recycle glossy paper because the demand is low for this type of paper. This will change in the future as the need to recycle paper becomes more important.
The biggest challenge with recycling books and magazines is separating the paper from the adhesives or staples used to bind the pages. Forward-thinking recycling companies have a way to remove the waste from the bindings magnetically; in the future we should begin to see growing opportunities to recycle all kinds of paper products.
Once you are affected subconsciously, the next time you’re thinking about throwing away some books or magazines, think first about how you can pass them along for others to enjoy. If that doesn’t work for you, try to reuse them creatively. If you still can’t find a use for them, look for places to take them where they can be recycled into new paper products, so we can save more trees.

An Introduction of Taste of Italian Wine

It’s true that the Italians were not the first to invent wine. But in contrast to any other people throughout history, they have demonstrated a serious passion for it. Italy is the largest producer of wine. This makes sense because the Romans made the most contributions to the ancient art of viniculture.
No one has to explain that the Italians are passionate people to start with- about romance, art, culture, family. The Romans loved their wine, drinking it with every meal, which is why the Italians care so much to perfect the production process and quality of taste.
The origin of wine actually lies in ancient Mesopotamia, near present-day Iran, sometime between 4000-3000 B.C. The Greeks, who settled in southern Italy and Sicily, exported the art of wine-growing to Italy. They were so impressed with the mild Italian climate which was perfect for producing wines that they called Italy, Oenotria, or the land of trained vines
The Romans, in particular, obsessed enough about the Greek process to later refine it and make improvements. The many contributions the Romans made to the art of wine-growing included using props and trellises, improving the Greek presses used for extracting juice, classifying which grapes grew best in which climate, and increasing the yields.
From 300 B.C. until the Christian era, the demand of wine soured greatly in quantity and held in a high level. Because the population reached over one million people and everyone, including slaves, had a huge craving for wine. The Falernian region, which is near Naples, was the most popular with the Romans, especially around 300 B.C. Also, surprisingly, they preferred white wine to any other one.
The Romans loved their wines and drank it at every meal, experimented with various spices, and created wine with much higher alcohol content than ours today. The Romans also discovered which grapes were best suited for certain climates. One step further, there are some grapes that grow mainly in Italy because of the unique climate that is not found in other areas. Examples of these are Chianti’s Sangiovese, Barolo’s Nebbiolo, Corvina, and Arneis.
As for taste, the Romans exhibited good taste first by deciding that aged wines tasted better and preferred wines that were ten to twenty-five years old. They discovered that wines which were kept in tightly closed containers improved with age and became the first to store it in wooden barrels. They may also have been the first to use glass jars and they also used corks.
The popularity of wine in Italy rose and fell with the Roman Empire, although it was always being produced, at least by Christian monks. With the Renaissance came new inspiration for the taste, or the taste created new inspiration for the time- one or the other!
Not until the 19th and 20th centuries did the quality of Italian wine diminish slightly, so the government began to regulate the industry through a series of labels, as indications to the public that certain requirements have been met regarding mainly production, quality, and taste standards. Categorizing wine in today’s market could be a topic for a novel, but briefly, there are 5 basic labels.
The DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) is a label given to certain winemakers to indicate a superior wine. This literally means “Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin”. To obtain this label, the winemaker must past through very strict guidelines pertaining to production, quantity, alcohol content, aging, as well as taste. Other labels that have less stringent requirements include DOC (Denominazione di Origine Contollata), VQPRD (qualità prodotti in regione determinata ), IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica), and VDT (vino da tavola). The last 3 classifications fall under the “table wine” category.
Today, Italy is most noted for its noble reds such as Chianti Classico, Barbaresco, Barolo and Brunello but a wide array of popular white wines are also produced including Pinot Grigio, Soave and Arneis, as well as sparkling wines such as Asti and Prosecco. The depth and breadth of Italian wine encompasses everything from bone dry to ultra-sweet, red, white, rosé, sparkling and fortified. From simple sippers to ultra-premium collectible treasures, Italy has it all.

Attempts To Green Computing

It remains a hot issue that how to develop enviroment work in a period of economic recovery. You can’t pick up the newspaper, turn on the television, or surf the Internet, without being bombarded by hot topics such as global warming, rising greenhouse gas emissions and the world’s energy crisis. Or we have to find new ways to manage the lifestyle in a low level of cost.
According to the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), computers account for a relatively large portion of our electrical consumption—about 2% nationwide. The growing use of computers has caused a dramatic increase in energy consumption, which puts negative pressure on the environment. Each year consumers (and businesses) purchase more computers and put them to use, but it’s not just the sheer number of computers that is driving energy consumption upward. The way that we use computers also adds to the increasing energy burden.
You’re doing your part to help out by recycling and carpooling, but did you know the the most effective ways to increase energy efficiency and reduce waste starts with your computer to improve energy management?
You can take the “green computing” initiative as the beginning of your enviromental voyage. Buy “Energy Star” compliant peripherals. Before you buy, check with the manufacturer or on the Energy Star web site. Enable power management features. Thanks to the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA), personal computer systems purchased today can be easy on energy. These “Energy Star” computers and monitors can be programmed to automatically “power-down” to a low power state when they are not being used. These efficiency gains can be achieved without any sacrifice in computing performance.
Access computer and monitor power management features for Windows. First check to see that your monitor is Energy Star compliant (see above). Open ‘Display’ in the Control Panel, go to the ‘Settings’ tab, click on ‘Advanced Properties’ and choose the ‘Monitor’ tab. Check ‘Monitor is Energy Star compliant’ box click ‘OK’. The recommended settings are 20 minutes for monitor sleep and 30 minutes for system sleep.
If screen saver images appear on your monitor for more than 5 minutes, you are wasting energy! Screen saver programs may save the phosphors in your monitor screen, but this is not really a concern with newer monitors, especially LCD screens. And they certainly don’t save energy. A blank screen saver is slightly better but even that only reduces monitor energy consumption by a few percent.
Don’t run all your equipments unless it is in need. You could swith off the laser printer, the sound plot etc. if you don’t need them. If practical, informally group your computer activities and try to do then during one or two parts of the day, leaving the computer off at other times.
After all the essential measures to greenize computing is the scientific progress. You could upload and download files of large amout in a flash time. The waste would be reduced to a minimum in electicity by improving the capacity of the CPU and LED.
It is also beneficial to the recycling of used computers. Globally over 35 million PC’s are thrown away ever year - yet there are many companies now recycling or reconditioning components or whole computers. Don’t throw it away. Your old computer might be worth something either to a dealer, a local school or a charity.
